STCW Basic Safety Training Course intends to equip people who go to sea professionally with essential basic knowledge and experience that can be applied to maximise their chances of survival in the event of an emergency.
This course is needed for all crew. The STCW 2010 Basic Safety Training course in in line with meeting the requirements laid down in, STCW 1978 as amended (Including STCW95 and STCW 2010) Regulation VI/1 and STCW Code Section A-VI/1 Paragraphs 2.1.1, 2.1.2, 2.1.3 and 2.1.4

Ability After Course: The Basic Safety Training Certificate covers the requirements of the STCW95 Convention and Code Chapter VI, Section A – VI/1. On Completion of this course, a trainee will be able to function as an important member of crew.
