SRC VHF Marine Radio Dept. Transport Ireland
This 11 hour course covers all radio procedures from routine calls to urgency and distress calls, and includes the explanation and use of the new GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress and Safety System) requirements and equipment. You are legally required to hold the appropriate "Certificate of Competence" and "Authority to operate" license if using any form of a VHF radio (unless under the direct personal supervision of someone who holds the qualifications already).
