The aim of this course is to develop boat handling, seamanship, pilotage and navigation skills up to the standards required to drive a planing powerboat safety by day in all coastal waters, and by night in coastal waters with which you are familiar. Candidates should be experienced powerboaters who already hold a Level 2 certificate with coastal endorsement and knowledge of navigation and pilotage to a good standard. Night work is an integral part of the course with a night driving exercise on the Saturday Night. Subjects covered on the intensive Advanced Power Boat course include:
